RVA Tar Heel Service Day – Richmond Folk Festival Bucket Brigade

Join the Richmond Carolina Club as we volunteer at the Richmond Folk Fest! Please email rvaheels@gmail.com to sign up.

We will be part of the Bucket Brigade from 12 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, October 9 collecting donations to ensure the Richmond Folk Festival can remain free of charge for future years. Every “drop in the bucket” helps!

All ages welcome. You will receive a T-shirt when checking in as a thank you for volunteering and to identify yourself as a volunteer, so please also sport a UNC hat, shorts, or get a UNC sticker from your Club leaders! Learn more about the Richmond Folk Festival here: https://www.richmondfolkfestival.org/ and see below description from the festival organizers of what the Bucket Brigade does:

  • Bucket Brigade – Want to help keep the Festival free? HERE IS YOUR CHANCE! We need energetic, smiling folks roaming the site with our signature orange buckets looking for “drops in the bucket”.   These donations to the festival will help with production of the next festival, so here is your chance to keep this wonderful event going!  We are looking for outgoing volunteers that are comfortable asking for donations.  This is a fun assignment where you can chat with festival patrons and hear some music all at the same time!  Great assignment for groups to work together.

Special thanks to our Service Committee Chair, Marci Linas, for coordinating with the festival planners. Please email rvaheels@gmail.com for information on check in and parking passes.
